Our client is a startup company focusing on building a marketplace for insurance products

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop and implement cloud-native solutions using microservices, containerization, and serverless patterns to ensure security and high performance
Create detailed technical specifications such as system architecture diagrams, API designs, and data models to meet business and regulatory requirements
Design data solutions covering data warehousing, analytics, and real-time processing
Provide technical leadership by overseeing project delivery, conducting architecture reviews, and guiding teams on best practices
Collaborate with engineering teams to address technical challenges, improve performance, and enhance scalability
Research and evaluate emerging technologies for platform evolution
Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate project delivery and enhance code quality
Architect AI-driven insurance solutions for claims processing, recommendation engines, and underwriting automation
Stay updated with advancements in AI and machine learning relevant to insurance technology.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in software architecture and development, focusing on cloud-native solution architecture in recent 3+ years
Recent 3-5 years working in tech startups in fast-paced, high-growth environments to build and scale products from early stages
Recent experience in insurance, banking, fintech, or e-commerce, preferably in the insurance domain
Proven track record in designing and deploying large-scale production SaaS applications
Proficient in AWS, Azure cloud infrastructure at scale
Strong knowledge and experience in MACH architecture: micro-frontends, microservices, API-first design, headless/composable systems
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Good understanding of API design principles (REST, 12-Factor App methodology)
Experience with data platforms and tools (data lakes, warehousing, analytics pipelines)
Familiarity with API gateway platforms and custom policy implementation
Active use of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) in daily work
Ability to break down complex problems and communicate solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership
Self-directed with the ability to manage and prioritize autonomously
Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
Comfortable with ambiguity, able to wear multiple hats and energized by building rather than maintaining
