Technical Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Objectives:
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Leads, IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Examine & exploring existing IT systems and business models
Analyze clients' existing systems and business models
Analyze systems requirements & undertake product development
Execute, configure and test feasible solutions.
Extensively liaise with external and/or internal clients
Document and map interfaces between new systems and legacy
Understand software development lifecycle
Translate client requirements into highly specified project briefs
Identify alternatives for potential solutions and evaluate them for both technical and business suitability
Conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
Develop solutions and related products
Produce reports of project feasibility and costings
Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction, to ensure designs are built to spec.
Ensure that budgets are comply to and deadlines are met
Draw up, supervise and document testing schedules for complete systems
Oversee implementation of a new system including data migration
Plan and work flexibly to deadlines
Support users on change control and system updates
Provide training and user manuals to users of a new system
Capable to study and research for the best suitable solutions and apply to the product/project
Comply to all documented standards, guidelines and procedures.
Troubleshoot technical issues
Risk mitigation planning
Conduct regular reviews of systems and generating reports on efficiencies and improvement areas

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related discipline
At least 6 years of experience in IT area
4 years experience in Technical Architect / Solutions Architect role
Experience in Life insurance domain is preferred
Business awareness and Critical thinking ability
An interest in the way organizational processes work
Strong problem-solving capacity

Leading the exploration of the current (As-is) and ideal (To-be) states: Working with engineers to clarify and define current specifications, including unorganized and undocumented legacy materials. Defining the desired behavior at PMI completion and translating it into a step-by-step approach and requirements.
