JOB DESCRIPTION

Take charge of developing, enhancing, and maintaining Python applications, automation tools, scripts, and utilities.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, including code reviews, solution design, troubleshooting, and best-practice adoption.
Create automation scripts to facilitate testing, monitoring, deployment, and operational workflows.
Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Python and related frameworks.
Assist in backend service development, API integration, and internal tooling using Python.
Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and operations teams to define technical approaches and ensure successful delivery.
Enhance code quality, maintainability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
Integrate automated scripts and tools into CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
Support DevOps-related activities, including build, deployment, release automation, and environment configuration.
Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to support deployment and operations in cloud-native environments.
Troubleshoot application, automation, and deployment issues across development, test, and production-like environments.
Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, automation guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support team planning, task breakdown, technical estimation, and delivery coordination in Agile/DevOps environments.
Mentor and coach team members, aiding in their technical growth and encouraging adherence to engineering best practices.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Python development, with at least 1-2 years in a technical lead, senior engineer, or similar leadership role.
Proficiency in Python coding, including scripting, automation, backend development, and API integration.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, review code, guide solution design, and support engineering teams.
Experience in automation testing or test script development using Python.
Strong understanding of software engineering practices, clean code, debugging, maintainability, and performance optimization.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions or similar tools.
Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
Experience working with REST APIs and service integration.
Good understanding of cloud-native application environments.
Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, operations, and infrastructure teams.
Ability to mentor engineers, coordinate technical work, and support delivery across cross-functional teams.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience with infrastructure automation or deployment scripting.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, Robot Framework, or similar.
Exposure to backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
Experience working in regulated or security-heavy environments, such as organizations operating under ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar standards.
Experience working with compliance, audit, security, or risk-related requirements in enterprise technology environments.
Understanding of secure development constraints and experience working with compliance and security requirements.
Experience in enterprise application environments, with an understanding of application security and secure coding practices being a plus.

Identify and document security vulnerabilities, validate and exploit when necessary, covering areas such as authentication, authorization, session management, input validation, encryption, access control, and business logic issues. Perform security assessments according to industry standards (e.g. OWASP Top 10, OWASP API Security Top 10, OWASP Mobile Security Testing Guide) and relevant security practices. Analyze application flows, user journeys, transaction processes, access controls, and data handling mechanisms to uncover potential security risks. Conduct vulnerability assessment and manual verification to reduce false positives, confirming actual exploitability in authorized environments. Facilitate vulnerability walkthroughs, risk clarification sessions, remediation discussions, and retesting alignment with relevant stakeholders.
