JOB DESCRIPTION

Taking charge of end-to-end solution architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
Working together with business analysts, product owners, and clients to establish workflows and financial product logic.
Assessing and sanctioning designs, code, and testing strategies to ensure reliability and compliance with best practices in the industry.
Overseeing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Addressing and resolving issues in development, staging, and production environments (e.g., posting failures, schedule conflicts, interest miscalculations).
Offering guidance and direction to a team of developers, conducting code reviews and setting quality standards.
Taking ownership of and managing technical delivery timelines, sprint planning, and risk mitigation across multiple client engagements.
Working closely with trainers for Thought Machine Smart Contract for practical experience and ongoing enhancement of domain expertise.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum 10 years of experience in backend development using Python, with a strong core Python expertise.
Proven track record in designing and implementing complex financial products such as savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and schedules.
Experience in transitioning from legacy core banking systems to modern architectures.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration/e2e testing, and Git branching strategies (Git Flow, Trunk, GitHub Flow).
Demonstrated leadership in agile teams, including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
Knowledge of DevOps tools such as GitHub, CircleCI, SonarQube, Artifactory, and monitoring/debugging tools.
Understanding of CQRS pattern and scalable microservices architecture.
Ability to lead client-facing technical discussions, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.
Willingness to travel onsite if required.
Experience in retail banking or financial institutions, particularly with accounting principles such as double-entry bookkeeping.
Familiarity with Vault workflows, Vault UI, or product lifecycle of core banking systems.
Thought Machine certification(s) or expertise in Vault development environments.
