Oversee the leadership, mentoring and development of two engineering teams, namely AI BI and AI-Powered Service Desk. This includes managing recruitment, evaluating performance, and facilitating career growth. Take accountability for the delivery of both teams, comprising planning, prioritization, sprint execution, and ensuring high-quality releases. Work in conjunction with Product, Data Science/ML, and Design to establish roadmaps and convert business requirements into technical implementation. Offer technical direction and architectural oversight across BI dashboards, analytics pipelines, and AI-powered service/support tooling. Advocate for engineering best practices such as code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation. Manage competing priorities across both teams, resolve obstacles for engineers, and oversee inter-team dependencies. Collaborate with backend, frontend, and ML engineers to ensure unified architecture across the teams. Provide regular reports on team performance, progress in delivery, and potential risks to senior leadership. Cultivate an environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and continual enhancement. Remain involved in hands-on tasks as required, including code reviews, architecture discussions, and making technical decisions.

Leading, mentoring, and developing a cross-functional team of backend and frontend developers, and promoting technical ownership and continuous learning. Ensuring that technical direction and architecture across the stack follows the JTL guidelines and addressing any technical debts & challenges. Active involvement in designing and reviewing backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs in .NET, as well as React/TypeScript frontend components. Establishing and upholding engineering standards for code quality, maintainability, automated testing, and sustainable development practices. Leading technical discussions and design decisions, while balancing trade-offs in a complex, large-scale system. Advocating for AI-assisted development across the team and supporting engineers in utilizing AI tools effectively. Aligning backend and frontend teams and fostering close collaboration with quality engineers, architects, and product managers. Identifying technical risks, challenging assumptions, and driving continuous improvement.

Own the overall performance and operations of the pre-sales function, managing multiple language-based teams (currently English- and Mandarin-speaking) through their Team Leaders. Coach and develop Team Leaders, ensuring consistent people management, performance standards, and team engagement across markets and languages. Act as the primary operational point of contact for the client stakeholder, aligning pre-sales execution with client expectations, product updates, and commercial goals. Drive pre-sales strategy, process optimization, and service quality to deliver strong customer experience and sales conversion for client products. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Technical teams and other departments to ensure effective operations and smooth inquiry-to-sale conversion. Lead performance management through data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, sharing insights regularly with internal leadership and the client.
