Technology Executive, Transaction Banking

Partner with the BTB business line to deliver scalable, resilient, and commercially competitive banking platforms, including Transaction Banking Deposits and Products (Business Transaction Accounts, Commercial Cards, Term Deposits, Savings) and Merchant Services.

Enable the bank to expand market share, strengthen client relationships, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Operate at the intersection of technology and commercial banking, translating strategy into executable technology roadmaps while managing engineering, production support, and vendor delivery capabilities.

Strategic Decision-Making: Collaborate with BTB leadership and other executives to determine approaches for delivering on strategic priorities.

Workforce Leadership: Oversee day-to-day management of the Transaction Banking Vietnam technology workforce, driving engineering maturity and fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and collaboration.

Technology Alignment: Ensure proposed solutions comply with architectural standards, integration patterns, and decommissioning strategies.

Vendor & Partnership Management: Lead vendor and third-party technology selection, contract governance, and strategic partnership decisions.

Over 15 years of successful leadership experience managing large scale technology teams within banking or financial services

Proven ability to oversee and deliver significant technology transformation projects such as core banking modernization, cloud migration, and API-led integration

Proficient in digital banking channels, payment technologies, and leveraging automation and GenAI

Skilled in managing resilient and available production systems and handling timely incident escalation and resolution for major incidents

Demonstrated experience in working within a banking regulatory environment, including AML/KYC compliance and adopting industry standards and risk management practices

Effective stakeholder relationship management to facilitate collaborative transformational change

Desirable - Experience in delivering technology solutions within a merchant acquiring, merchant services, or point-of-sale (POS) ecosystem. Familiarity with card scheme networks (Visa, Mastercard), payment gateway architecture, acquiring processing platforms, and merchant onboarding and settlement systems.

Qualification Requirements: Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
