Web/Mobile Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software applications for Web based, thick/thin and Mobile.
Integration with backend system including usage of API and messaging technologies.
Improve software quality using Scrum practices such as code review and unit testing.
Assist PO/BA on user stories refinement.
Assist QA/Tester on test automation and bug fixes.
Assist DevOps on build and release automation.
Prepare interface specifications and other design documentations.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Experience with web and/or mobile applications development.
At least 3 to 4 years recent experience with C# and Microsoft dotNet, ReactJS.
Experience with Git. Understanding of code branching, merging and versioning in the source control system.
Experience with HTML5/CSS3/JQuery/Bootstrap and NodeJS or Javascript, $1ESTful API
Experience with development using Flutter will be an added advantage
Able to communicate well in English and express design using UML notation and derive tasks backlog in SCRUM.
A fast learner, have a proactive attitude and an eye for quality works
A team player – inclusive mindset to collaborate effectively in a diverse team
Plus points will be additional advantage:
Experience with development on a public cloud, e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS will be an advantage
Experience with microservices application development will be an advantage
Experience in developing platform level features, such as configuration management, service discovery and routing, feature switch, A/B testing, etc.
Experience with messaging (Kafka, AMQP, MQTT or other messaging technologies), Java and understand database schema design.
Experience with Maven, Nexus or Artifactory
Experience with Docker
Experience with CI/CD systems, such as Bamboo, Jenkins
Scrum certified, and with experience in a Scrum project

WHAT'S ON OFFER

We are applying hybrid working model, 2 days at the office. However, during the probation period, we request the employee go to the office 4 days per week.
13th salary
14 days of annual leave (to be finalized with the group to add more)

Responsible for complete manual QA of web, mobile, and payment processes including functionality, integration, regression, exploratory testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Develop risk-based testing strategies for releases, including scoping, estimating, preparing test data, defining entry and exit criteria. Ensure seamless end-to-end flows across frontend, backend, and integrations with third-party systems, covering multiple countries, currencies, and payment methods. Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, verifying payment lifecycle and handling of failures such as refunds, settlements, retries, idempotency, and webhooks. Manage defect reporting and triage, communicate quality status and risks effectively, and make evidence-based decisions on whether to proceed with releases.
