Mentor and lead a team of data platform and support engineers to encourage self-organization and empowerment Conduct performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional growth Showcase team accomplishments at internal and external events Install, configure, monitor, and maintain data platforms, including databases and filesystems Regularly update and patch systems to uphold security and stability Identify and resolve data platform issues in a timely manner Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for data platforms Educate users on platform features and related processes Ensure proper data platform design and features to enable AI/ML model training/serving, data management, and tracking data quality Oversee technical design aligned with company strategy and policies Follow, select, and apply the latest technologies and best practices in platform code, management, and AI/ML area Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope Manage expectations, risks, and resolve issues during the platform lifecycle Work closely with Product Owners and Development Teams to align platform roadmaps with their goals Provide platform-level feasibility assessments for new features and enhancements Ensure clear communication and coordination between the team, Product Owner(s), and Development Team(s) Implement and maintain quality standards for platform code Ensure regular testing and validation are implemented as a vital part of automated CI/CD Ensure data platform features comply with relevant data privacy and security regulations and policies Manage data access and usage to protect personal data and other sensitive information
