Director of Engineering (Azure, .NET)

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Director of Engineering at our Client, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping us achieve our mission. You will help make technical decisions, hiring and growing the team while ensuring progress. You will work with Product Managers, Product Designer and stakeholders across the organization to ship products that delight customers.
Responsibilities:
Build out and lead a software team of 30+
Have full responsibility for hiring and growing the team within priorities and budgets
Focus on people and processes with a strong bias for action as you lead the continuing improvement and delivery of B2B SaaS software products
Drive good design practice and discipline in product development throughout the entire SDLC
Work in close partnership with Product Management and User Experience teams to maximize delivery of value to customers
Design and Execute transitions from legacy architectures to cloud-based service oriented architecture (SOA) using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure, or similar technologies
Lead company-wide prioritization of improvements to code quality, systems, and engineering processes
Champion a culture of operational excellence within the team. Inspire others to continuously improve and raise their standards at all levels of the company

JOB REQUIREMENT

Requirements:
10+ years of industry software engineering experience, with 3- 5 years experience in Technical Architect, management and leadership roles SaaS and B2B application development in your previous roles
Proven expertise with agile/sprint planning; including demonstrated success measuring developer productivity using story points using Jira/Confluence
Proficient with C#, .Net and Azure Media Service is a plus
Ability to explain complex engineering problems and logic to stakeholders and non-engineering team members in a digestible and effective manner
Ideal candidates would be located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Fluency in Vietnamese and English
Due to the distributed nature of our workforce, some flexibility in daily schedule to allow for high quality communication across multiple continents is required
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
